1. TASTE OF EDMONTON
July 22 – August 1, 2021

This is Canada’s largest food festival! Taste of Edmonton brings you delicious food from over 50 locally-owned restaurants and food trucks. Besides all of the yummy food and drinks, they have everything from live music to culinary workshops for everyone to enjoy! Located in Sir Winston Churchill Square, it is just a few blocks away from us at The Hat.

2. EDMONTON HERITAGE FESTIVAL
July 31 – August 2, 2021

The Edmonton Heritage Festival is back and better than ever! 

This is a three-day event at Hawrelak Park where you can sample delicious food, see amazing creative performances, and celebrate Canada’s multiculturalism. Explore the festival and enjoy free entertainment on more than 25 stages from groups all over Alberta who come together to share their history, song, dance and food with the world.

3. DOWNTOWN FARMER’S MARKET
Saturdays 9-3
Sundays 11-3

There’s no better way to spend the weekend than by going down to the Downtown Farmer’s Market to shop and support local vendors – and we’re lucky that it’s just a few blocks away! This market really strives to serve our YEG community with quality, locally farmed and focused products. They also love to support and help grow local businesses, and we think that is just so awesome.

4. THE WORKS ART & DESIGN FESTIVAL
July 7 – 17th, 2021

For 13 days every summer, The Works unleashes art & design throughout one square kilometer of Edmonton’s downtown core at Sir Winston Churchill Square. Completely free to the public, The Festival is an extravaganza of visual art, design and entertainment that attracts artists and patrons from around the globe. It’s a time and place for everyone to discover, discuss and develop an appreciation for art and design! As North America’s largest free outdoor art and design festival, The Works has something for everyone.

5. AL FRESCO ON 4th
Every Saturday until September 18

An outdoor market filled with extended patios, various delicious food trucks, and retail vendors for the whole family to enjoy! Have some fun in the sun while supporting local businesses and taking in the best experiences and items in the downtown core!
